Setting an example

Setting an example is something that i was always taught as a child.
I didn't always understand what that meant...Why did a child need to set and example? Being the oldest of 4 children i thought it meant to be a leader for them, become a mother figure for them.
Its not what was meant. You don't live your life for judgement for others. You live it for the judgement of God alone. If you do that, you'll be a blessing to those around you. They start to benefit from you're relationship with God.
We heard on Sunday during an adoption and baptism that the husband had set a good example for his wife. I felt like i had failed in my relationship with my husband. Did i set a good enough example for him? DO i set a good example for Gemma and what about the new baby?

But i can not worry about the pasted. What i have lacked in before i have to work on now.
I know i have done some things right. Gemma is a well balance and beautiful child. Not just on the outside, but on the inside. It shows by the amount of ppl that have time for her.
She is setting her own example which makes me very proud. For example: We were having lunch at friends and they all where given their food. Gemma called me saying "mom, we didn't pray yet!" so we had to stop what we where doing and pray for our food. Or at night if we forget to pray with her, she will remind us. And for that i am grateful. I thank the Lord for the example my parents set for me. To always put God first and trust that he will keep us safe.
Safe doesn't always mean physically. But safe in the knowledge that one day we will be closer to Him.

We had a Ladies morning on Saturday. It was great. We heard alot about what God wants from us as woman. Not always an easy task. I'll try and share this with you later. But for now i have alot to work on for myself!

Anyway, i have the dentist again tomorrow! BLAH! its been a horrible ride the last few months. But i hope that our Tiny guy knows what his mommy is going through and stays put for a few more weeks!

Bridge also comes home in a few weeks!
Carol and Josh are also pregnant! Very exciting that they are also having a boy. At one stage i thought that they would never have children. So i am very happy that they have joined us in the awesome journey of pregnancy and parent hood!
